Two incredible teaching tools will enliven this classroom for students, community groups and lifelong learners. David Geister’s 30ft WWI America mural was commissioned for the centennial of the Great War and displayed previously at the State History Center, Union Depot in St Paul and Northrop Auditorium in Minneapolis.

A gift from France in 1949, the state’s sole Merci box car is an enduring symbol of international friendship and gratitude for Minnesota veterans of both world wars. Depicted in the photo are citizens of Le Bourget, France who visited the current museum grounds in 2020.
